In 1991 a guy (aka T3rtium Quid) and a girl (aka cinebeats) met and fell head-over-heels for each other. They spent much of their time from that day forward hanging out in San Francisco’s Japan Town and encouraging each other’s interest in things like Japanese music, movies, toys and food. This blog is a result of their 15 year relationship and their mutual love of music. You’ll find nothing but songs, videos and other various music related bits here. We hope you’ll enjoy exploring J-Sounds with a guy, his girl and their music collection.
Songs are made available for a limited time so grab them while you can!

I’ve come to your site a little late it seems. Is there any way I can still get The Peanuts songs and the Ayumi Ishida songs? Great site by the way.

Hi,
Great site about a great era in Japan for music!
I have added you to the JAPUNDIT blogroll, and I would like to invite you to listen to our podcast called JAPAN TALK (japantalk.org), where we play a lot of contemporary Japanese indie music.
All the best,

Hi, I have been searching for a group called The Tigers. My mother lived in Japan in the 60s and absolutely loved them and I would really love to get some of their songs for her as she only has the songs on .45s. If you have any of their music or know where I could find it, I would be very grateful. Thanks.
